Classes in piano or violin for children ages 6 and up are an excellent next step, once early music is completed. Classes and private lessons are offered in piano and violin at The Center For Creative Arts at Shady Grove. Here, children can explore these instruments in a group setting using Suzuki method, with recitals presented in the winter and the spring. If piano and violin seem to be the favorite instruments in your home, then you should also consider the Yamaha method as an option.
The Center For Creative Arts at Shady Grove is also a good choice for young students who feel ready to choose a particular instrument to study in private lessons. The center has trained teachers for a wide variety of popular instruments.
Children who begin early music classes frequently enjoy moving on to private lessons of some kind. With all the wealth of stimulating music classes offered in the Richmond, Virginia area, there is no shortage of good choices to please just about any interest in music.
